24/7 Prayer 2012

Last night it all began, our church here in Thanet launched the Pioneer Church Network'sy year of prayer with GloGen being the first church doing a 24/7 prayer week.
For me I hope to find my place is God's great song. I want to be in tune with Him.

I started my session this afternoon with a look at something that inspired me many years ago from Rob Bell, from the Nooma dvd, well not dvd it's on my phone, Rhythm. I won't go in to detail, but what struck me was a verse from John's Gospel
"God is sheer being itself - Spirit. Those who worship Him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration."
I'm not normally one for the Message interpretation of the Bible, but this struck me and it started me wondering;

What does worshiping with my true self really look like?

Even more key to this line of thought, what does my true self look like?

With this I must return, I have great expectations of this week, and must continue. I have a lot of seeking to do.

Hoping for a new start

Just downloaded Blogger for my phone, let's hope this does start something new.
I know I've been lax with just this one blog, but frankly I've felt I've had nothing to say that couldn't be just as easily conveyed over Facebook. Now I want to try and use this again whilst also expanding into other blogs based around my wargames, potentially one for each army (Dragon Lords Space Marines, my as yet unnamed Empire, and the yet to be started Lizardman host for Tale of War Gamers).

Aside from this new insight in to my deviant war gamer nature I will keep this blog for personal reflections and discoveries, hopefully with pictures!
